inJust bought a $400 cordless clipper set and it's been a game changer for fades
Saw a barber on YouTube talking about this exact thing, how going cordless shaved like ten minutes off each fade just from not fighting the cord. That freedom to spin around the chair without thinking makes total sense. I remember @max415 talking about battery life with his gear, and it seems like that's the real make or break. My buddy's cordless clippers died halfway through a skin fade last week and he had to finish with shears, total nightmare. You really need that reliable power all day.

inTIL a trick for painting trim without tape that actually works
A steady hand is a skill you can build, and it's faster than fixing tape bleed later.

inA homeowner in Austin pointed out my wire runs were too visible on her new siding.
That's a good wake-up call... makes you wonder what other small details we're all missing. Did she point out a specific spot that was the worst, like around a window or the meter? Sometimes a customer's complaint is super vague and you have to figure out the real problem yourself.

inWarning: I chose a $500 daily budget on Meta over Google Search and my sales tanked
Oof, that's rough but it makes total sense. It's like trying to sell someone a new type of wrench by showing them a pretty picture at a party instead of catching them when they're already in the hardware store looking for tools. The intent just isn't the same. Meta's great for building a vibe, but people on Google are already in buy mode. I've seen similar stuff happen where people get sold on the flashy new thing and skip the basics that actually work.

inVent: My friend spilled soda all over my mint copy of The Killing Joke at our local shop
My copy of Dark Phoenix Saga still has a faint chocolate stain on page 22. I found putting it in the freezer for an hour made the pages easier to separate and clean. A dry toothbrush got most of the gunk off without damaging the art.
