Vent: My dragon haircut idea for my nephew went totally sideways
He asked for a fierce dragon outline on his buzz cut. I got my clippers and freehanded the design, feeling pretty confident. It ended up looking like a bloated snake with weird wings, and everyone cracked up. We just shaved it clean, but now it's a family joke.

Oh man, that reminds me of when I tried to give myself blonde highlights. It turned into one giant orange stripe right down the middle of my head, like a skunk. I had to wear a hat for a solid month while it grew out.

@kim819, that "giant orange stripe like a skunk" is pretty funny. It's like you accidentally made a warning sign for DIY hair projects. Skunks use their stripes to say "don't mess with me," and your hair might have scared off anyone thinking of home highlights. You basically wore a caution flag for a month. I bet nobody asked you for beauty tips while you were under that hat.

Evan's skunk comparison misses the point. @kim819, that orange stripe was a bold move even if it went wrong. Plenty of salon jobs turn out worse than home experiments. Covering it with a hat just means you owned the situation until it grew out.
