A 15 minute chat with a stranger broke my posting habit

Last Tuesday I was waiting for coffee in a packed shop and this older guy noticed I was tweaking a caption on my phone. He asked what I did, and I told him I run a small food page, about 4k followers. He said he runs a deli and posts the same sandwich photo every single morning, no hashtags, no stories, just the same angle. He gets more local foot traffic from that one boring post than I get from my 10 daily reels. It hit me that I was overthinking everything, scheduling, trends, keywords, while he just showed up. Has anyone else simplified their posting and actually seen better numbers? I'm curious if consistency beats strategy for you all too.

Haven't you noticed your best posts are always the simple ones?

Think it applies to more than posts too. The stuff that actually sticks with people is usually just saying what you mean without all the extra noise. Kinda funny how we overthink it every time.
