A comment on my old video style made me rethink everything

Someone said my posts felt like a 'shopping channel' and just listed features. I switched to showing one real problem I fixed, like when my pasta sauce video started with a burnt pan. What's the best piece of feedback you ever got on your content?

Honestly that shopping channel feedback sounds pretty harsh. Sometimes listing features is exactly what people need, especially for tech or gear reviews. The burnt pan story works for cooking, but not every niche needs a personal problem to solve. The best feedback I got was to stop trying to be everyone's friend and just give my straight opinion.

A podcast said feedback is a gift, even when it hurts to hear.

Wait, they called your old style a shopping channel? That's brutal. The best feedback I ever got was to stop over-editing and let my voice sound like a real person, not a robot reading a script. It stung at first, but my watch time went up after I stopped cutting out every single "um." Sometimes the harsh notes are the ones that actually help you fix what's broken.
