My engagement tanked after a single post at the Denver Comic Con panel.
I posted a 2 minute clip of a cosplayer's full costume reveal, but the algorithm flagged it as 'unoriginal content' and buried my next 10 posts. Anyone know how to properly credit live event clips so this doesn't happen?

Did you tag the cosplayer in the video description?

The video description only has like three tags total and none of them are the actual cosplayer. Honestly @the_paige, how do you forget to credit the person you filmed for a full minute. That's just basic respect for their work. Tbh it makes the whole channel look kinda sloppy when they skip something that simple. I'd be pretty annoyed if I spent all that time on a costume just to be left out.

Two years ago I filmed a really cool Mandalorian build at Phoenix Fan Fusion and just posted it with the con's general tag. The cosplayer actually found it and sent a super nice message asking for credit. That hit me hard. Now I put their handle in the first line of the description AND in an on-screen watermark. @the_paige is totally right, it's basic respect. The algorithm stuff is one thing, but treating the artist's work right is what actually matters. My views went up after I started doing that, people share it more when the creator is tagged.
