My TikTok about a local bakery got 2 million views and then the owner blocked me

I made a video last week praising their sourdough, tagging the shop in Portland. The owner DMed me saying the sudden rush of orders broke their system and they had to turn people away. Has anyone else accidentally caused a business to crash from a viral post?

How is that your fault at all?

Yeah I used to feel the same way... like if you just share a picture, it's not your problem. But I saw this tiny plant shop post about a rare cactus they got in, just one. I shared it because it was cool, not thinking. Next day the owner told me fifty people showed up asking for it and she had to turn them all away, felt awful. Made me realize even a simple share can set up expectations you didn't mean to create.

Wow, that's wild but honestly kind of a good problem for them? I once posted a picture of a food truck's weirdly good fries and their line was around the block the next day, lol. Felt kinda bad but also like I did my good deed.
