Hit 100 books bound this year and it finally clicked why that number matters
I've been hand binding as a side gig for about 18 months, and last week I finished my 100th book. It hit me that every single one of those had a different problem to solve - a warped board, a bad spine, or a customer who wanted something totally weird. For anyone else who tracks their numbers, did you notice a big skill jump at a certain count?

100 isnt really a magic number though, skill jumps are different for everyone.

Yeah I hear you. For me it was around 75 hours when something just clicked and I started actually getting consistent results. Before that I was all over the place, missing easy shots and bungling basic stuff. It was like my brain finally caught up with what my hands were trying to do.
