Rant: my cousin swore that profile pic with the fish pic was a scam bot, and now I owe him $20
My cousin Dave, who lives in Boise and works nights at a warehouse, told me in March that any page with a guy holding a giant bass in his profile pic and a bio full of emojis was 100% fake, so I bet him $20 he was wrong. I messaged the guy, asked three normal questions, and he answered every one with weirdly spaced replies and then tried to sell me crypto within 6 messages, so Dave was dead right. How do you all spot these fake fish guys so fast, is it the emojis or the reply timing?
The fish pic thing isn't really about the emojis, plenty of real dudes use those. What usually gives them away is the reply timing, like answering at 3am instantly with the same copy paste energy every single time. Your guy answered three questions and jumped to crypto in six messages, that's the whole tell right there.
