I finally caught a brand editing its apology post 3 times in one day, and the timestamps gave it away
I saw a snack company post an apology on Instagram around 9am about a bad ad, then quietly swap out a line at lunch and again by dinner. The first version said 'we hear you,' the second blamed a 'third party agency,' and the third cut the blame part out entirely. Does anyone screenshot these edits before they vanish, because I feel like the changing excuses are the real story here?
Ugh, the third version is always the tell because it means legal got involved and scrubbed the whole thing. Screenshots are the only real proof left once they start editing, so somebody better be archiving those.
