Rant: That viral apology video from the coffee chain actually made things worse

I tried their new 'artisan blend' after seeing that tearful apology post about the old beans being bad, paid $6 for a cup that tasted burnt. Half the comments were praising their transparency, but my first sip told me they just swapped one problem for another. Anyone else think those big apology stunts just distract from fixing the actual product?

Man I had the same thing happen with a local bakery's apology post about their sourdough, they hyped up the new recipe but it was just as dry and crumbly as before. These big emotional posts feel more like damage control than actually fixing the damn product.

Completely feel you on that @the_hayden, I was just reading about how a lot of bakeries post these big heartfelt stories but the bread still tastes like it was left out in the desert. I saw this one article that said these apology posts are basically just a way to buy time before people realize the real issue is they changed the recipe to cut costs. Feels like they throw in some emotional words about grandma's starter or whatever and hope we'll forget the last time we bit into a loaf and it was more like a brick. Honestly it's getting hard to trust any of these "we're listening" posts when the product stays the same.
