TIL Delta sent a $10 apology gift card after that massive flight cancellation mess last year

I was reading a DOT report from June and found out Delta only gave $10 gift cards to people stuck for over 12 hours on the tarmac. Has anyone here actually gotten one of those cards or just me?

Ten bucks says that gift card wouldn't even cover the cost of a single bag of mediocre airport trail mix. Sounds like Delta's apology budget was set by someone who's never actually had to buy anything at an airport. At least they didn't have to pay extra for the privilege of sitting on the tarmac all day.

Friend got one, said it barely covered a coffee. @robin_henderson81 was dead right about the airport prices.
