My grocery budget almost blew up at the self-checkout

I was at the store yesterday and my total came to $127, which was way over my $80 target. I realized I'd grabbed the big pack of chicken without checking the price per pound. I put it back, got the smaller pack, and walked out spending $78. Anyone else have a close call like that?

Oh man, that price per pound gets me every time! I started weighing the big packs in my hand to guess the cost before I even walk to checkout. What's the worst overcharge you've caught last minute?

Seriously, I always do the math in my head right on the spot.

Ugh, that's the worst feeling. I almost bought a tiny bag of coffee for like twenty bucks because I didn't see the size. My heart actually dropped at the scanner lol. Good catch putting it back.
