Appreciation post: the librarian who showed me her bujo at a coffee shop
She flipped to a page where she tracked every patron's weird question for 3 months, and it blew my mind how simple it was. Has anyone else gotten ideas from watching a stranger's spread in public?

Haha, @patriciareed, that avocado ripeness tracker is honestly the most relatable thing I've heard all week. Sometimes you just latch onto a system without knowing why, and it becomes your weird little project.

Watched a friend nearly break her neck trying to see a stranger's spread at a coffee shop. She was lurking behind this woman who had this whole color-coded monthly log for her cat's vet visits and medication schedule. The stranger caught her staring and just held it up like "you want a closer look?" My friend spent 20 minutes asking questions and took a photo of the layout. She went home and immediately started a similar thing for her dog's ear infection tracking. Now she swears by it even though her cat ended up being totally healthy.

Wait, is it weird that I kind of admire her commitment? I once spent an hour trying to recreate a stranger's color coded grocery list I saw at the bus stop, only to realize I had no idea what half the symbols meant. Like you, @the_sandra, my friend ended up using it to track her avocado ripeness, which was pointless since she doesn't even like guac. So yeah, I feel this story on a deep, personal level.
