My payment processor went down for 3 hours on Black Friday and cost me around $2,800 in lost sales.

It happened last month during the busiest shopping day, and I had to manually write down orders on paper and email invoices after the system came back up, has anyone else dealt with a mid-crash payment gateway and found a reliable backup?

Used to think a backup was overkill, but this changed my mind completely.

Read somewhere that most people lose their files at least once before they finally start backing up.

Start by saying that's not really true for everyone. Some people just check their email drafts or browser tabs and find their important stuff again. Cloud storage makes it way easier to accidentally save things before disaster strikes, right?
