TIL a $100 local radio ad for my small shop brought in more calls than a $500 online campaign.

I ran both for a month and the radio spot got 37 serious leads while the online one only got 12, so has anyone else had a cheap old-school tactic beat a bigger digital spend?

That's a huge difference. What kind of small shop do you run?

Yeah my aunt had a flower shop and did the same thing, @the_nina. She said the radio ads brought in way more locals than anything online.

My uncle still runs ads in the local paper for his hardware store. He swears by it, says people who read it are already in town and ready to buy. He tried Facebook ads once and said it was a total waste, just a bunch of clicks from people three states away. Maybe there's something about local media that just hits different for certain businesses. What kind of ads did you run on the radio, like during a specific show?
