Fell for that 'smart water bottle' hype and wasted $80 on a gimmick

I bought one of those Bluetooth water bottles that tracks your intake and glows to remind you to drink. It synced to my phone and everything for like a week. Then the app crashed and the bottle just became a regular plastic bottle that cost me way too much. I mean idk why I thought I needed a gadget to tell me to drink water but here we are. Anyone else waste money on a health gadget that turned out to be a total flop?

Nah, that bottle kept you hydrated but your wallet is the one that died of thirst.

and honestly @the_joel you're not wrong. that bottle was like a bad investment, cost more than my last two coffee runs combined. i swear i felt my bank account sigh every time i took a sip. but hey, at least the water was room temperature by the time i finished it, so that's a win, right? i should start putting it on instagram as a cautionary tale.

That bottle cost more than my lunch for a whole week. I bet you could have bought a nice reusable one and filled it up for free for a year with that money. But hey, at least you got a good story out of it and a fancy Instagram post. Maybe next time just stick to tap water and save yourself the heartache. Your bank account will thank you later.
