Had to pick between 'hustle culture' and 'quiet quitting' for a client session last week
I was talking to a new client who said she felt guilty taking rest days because of all those hustle culture posts on Instagram. She was torn between pushing through and just doing the bare minimum. I told her to try something in the middle - focused work during training but real recovery after. Has anyone else noticed how those two buzzwords are making people feel like they only have two options?

Can't believe a client actually felt guilty about rest days because of Instagram posts. That's wild - social media has people brainwashed.

Oh man, I totally used to be one of those people who thought rest days were just an excuse to be lazy! I was all about that "no days off" mentality, posting every single workout and thinking that was the only way to see results. But then I actually tried taking a real rest day where I did nothing and my body felt so much better. It's crazy how Instagram makes you feel like a failure for listening to your body and recovering. The guilt is real but it's also totally manufactured by that endless scroll of perfect gym selfies.
