I saw a guy at the Woodworking Show in Columbus use a 3/4 inch spacer block for his drawer slides

He was setting up a bank of drawers and used the same block to set the gap between each box before screwing in the slides. I always just measured each one, which took forever. Tried it on a kitchen job this week and cut my install time by almost half. Anyone else have a simple trick like that for drawer installs?

I used a half inch spacer on my last project and it saved me a ton of time on the trim work.

Man, "saved me a ton of time" is the real truth right there. I fought with trim for years before trying that spacer trick. It just makes everything line up so much easier, doesn't it? Feels good to finally find a simple fix for such a annoying job.
