Old client's call saved my week after a rough install

I was finishing a pantry cabinet job in Austin last Friday, and I screwed up the hinge placement on two doors. I was ready to eat the cost of new ones. Then a client from 3 years ago called me out of the blue, asking if I still do drawer repair. We got to talking, and he told me about how he always marks his hinge holes with a center punch before drilling, even for soft close. I tried that trick on the next pair, took me 10 minutes to fix both doors. Has anyone else had a random tip from an old customer actually save their day or is it just me?
