Spent 8 years routing the wrong way before a helper said something
I always pushed the router clockwise around the workpiece, thought that was just how it's done. Last Tuesday a new kid asked why I was climb-cutting everything, and we both just stared at the pile of tear-out I'd been leaving for the last decade. He pulled up a YouTube video on his phone, 30 seconds in and I felt like an idiot. Anyone else have a basic move they got backwards for years?

Man I feel this, spent two years sanding with the grain before realizing I was just polishing my mistakes.
