inWasted $150 on a "premium" thumbnail template pack that was just Canva shapes
Yeah but honestly I read somewhere that a lot of those Canva templates are just recycled from the same freebies you can find on Pinterest anyway. People act like spending 50 bucks on a template set is some huge mistake, but half the time you're paying for the layout and the fonts being already matched up. I've seen folks spend more time trying to tweak a free Canva template to look professional than they would have just buying a decent one and being done with it. Not saying templates are always worth it, but acting like Canva is the magic answer for everything feels a bit off.

inHit my 100th failed loaf of sourdough last Tuesday and finally felt like a real baker
Count your wins by the fails you survived @jordanc32, that's the real skill.

inJust had a talk with an old timer that changed how I look at compressors
Read an article not too long ago that said something like 70% of HVAC callbacks are actually install issues, not part failures. That stat stuck with me because it lines up with what you're saying about chasing the wrong thing. Your pinhole leak story is a good example of how easy it is to blame the charge when the real problem was hiding somewhere else. Guess the takeaway is that a good install covers a lot of sins, but even a perfect one won't save you from a bad factory part.

inPicked Dark over Stranger Things for a weekend binge and I'm hooked
Exactly what helped me was keeping that family tree pulled up on my phone the whole time, I had to pause and trace who was who constantly. And yeah @sage_ramirez42 you're right about that Doppler effect thing, once I realized how the surnames repeat it clicked why people say the show is basically one giant echo chamber. Definitely stick with it, by episode 6 you'll be glad you started taking notes.
