Vent: I just learned the average kitchen cabinet has 30 hinges

I was reading an old trade journal from 2019 and it said the typical full kitchen install uses about 30 hinges, which seems crazy high when you think about it. I counted the ones on my last job and it was 28, so I guess they're not far off. Does anyone else ever stop and think about how many tiny parts we put into one room?

Typical full kitchen install uses about 30 hinges" is the kind of fact that makes you realize we're all just glorified hinge installers. My entire career is just putting little metal flaps on boxes so other people can hide their expired cans of soup.

I installed 42 hinges on a pantry job last week, so I feel you, @thomas.parker. My crowning achievement was a self-closing hinge on a cabinet that now perfectly hides three jars of pickles from 2019. We're not just hinge installers, we're archivists for condiments.
