Rant: Worst Tuesday I've had in 5 years

Had a job north of Phoenix where the customer's attic hit 130 degrees by noon. Crawled through fiberglass for 3 hours only to find a rat chewed through the main line. How do you guys handle extreme heat jobs without passing out?

Cold water on the wrists and neck every 15 minutes...

Every 15 minutes? That seems like a lot. I would be chained to the sink all day if I tried that at work. Unless you're just sitting in an air conditioned office, nobody has time to run to the bathroom that often. I'd rather just chug a cold glass of water and keep moving.

130 degrees in a Phoenix attic? Man Ive been in 100 degree weather doing cable work but that sounds like a whole different beast. I gotta say though I question if it's really that dangerous if you're just taking a few minutes to cool down at the right spots. Ive seen guys tough it out with wet towels and lots of breaks and they made it through the day just fine. Maybe it's about pacing yourself instead of freaking out over every degree.
