That time I was sure a cancel was fake but it turned out real
I was so skeptical when people were calling out that food blogger for faking her recipes. Thought it was just haters making a big deal over nothing. Then I watched a 20 minute breakdown video that showed side by side comparisons of her 'homemade' dishes next to box mix photos. The frosting was exactly identical down to the swirl pattern. Has anyone else had a moment where you rolled your eyes at a cancellation but then saw proof that changed your mind?

The box mix side by side thing got me. I was the same way with that artist who claimed they painted everything from scratch. Someone slowed down the timelapse and you could see pre-made stencils popping in and out of frame. Felt dumb for defending them so hard.

@sam_murphy39 that "felt dumb for defending them" part really hit home for me. It makes you wonder though, how many of these "authentic" creators are actually just really good at pretending. Have you ever gone back and looked at other videos from that same artist to see if there were more clues you missed?

Found a buddy's old livestream where the "live" chat was just copy-pasted from a year earlier lmao.
