TIL that one sentence from my manager fixed my whole presentation style
I used to pack every slide with bullet points and data, thinking more info meant more value. After a quarterly review last month, my manager said bluntly: 'I don't need to know everything you know, I need to know what matters now.' That really hit me. So I changed my next team update to just three slides with one main point each. Used a screenshot and two short sentences per slide instead of paragraphs. The team actually asked questions instead of zoning out. Has anyone else had a small piece of feedback that totally changed their work approach?

Hell yeah. Same thing happened to me last year. Total game changer.

Actually, gotta push back a little here. That "total game changer" thing is kind of overblown in my opinion. I jumped on that bandwagon last spring and it worked okay for like a month, then the novelty wore off and I was back to my old habits. The method only sticks if you really commit to the whole setup, not just the fancy new tool or gadget. My buddy tried it too and he burned out after two weeks cause he didn't change his routine around it. Still, if you can make it part of your daily grind without forcing it, maybe it does click.
