Watching my neighbor try to hang a shelf without a level was painful

He eyeballed it, and now it slopes like a ski jump. I keep a 4-foot Stabila in my truck for a reason. How do you guys handle it when you see a DIY project about to go sideways?

Yeah, the "slopes like a ski jump" part is too real. I watched my brother-in-law do the same thing with a towel rack. It was a solid 20 degrees off.

Ugh, that's the worst.

A slanted towel rack has its perks. That angle lets water run right off instead of pooling up. It is basically a built in drying feature. Your brother in law might have been onto something with that design.
