Saw a hotel lobby in Charlotte with the worst carpet seam I've ever seen
I mean, it was a nice place downtown, but the install in the main hallway was a mess. The two pieces were maybe a quarter inch off in height, and the pattern didn't line up at all. You could catch your toe on it walking by. Has anyone else run into a job that bad in a public space?

The airport in my city has a tile floor where they clearly ran out of the right color. There's a whole section near baggage claim that's just three rows of bright red tiles in a sea of beige, like a weird patch. It's been that way for at least two years now, so I guess it's a permanent fix. Drives me nuts every time I see it because you know someone got paid to do that and just called it good enough. Makes you wonder what the manager was looking at when they signed off on it.

That reminds me of a movie theater bathroom where they tiled around the toilet wrong. The floor sloped toward the drain in the middle of the room, so any spilled water would run right under the stall walls. Always had to hop over a little river to get to the sink. Felt like they forgot people actually use the place.
