The neighbor who claimed his grass was greener without any water
Old Bob next door kept bragging his lawn looked better than mine because he had 'superior soil,' so I finally asked him about his sprinkler schedule last Saturday. Turns out he was running a hose from his basement sink at 2 AM every night for 2 months after I caught him refilling it at the spigot.

Wait, he was siphoning from a POOL?! That's insane - how did he even rig that up without getting caught sooner? I can't believe someone would go through all that trouble just to have a nice lawn.

A buddy of mine had a neighbor who did something similar. He was bragging about his green lawn during a drought, turned out he was siphoning water from the pool at night.
