My brush head fell off mid-sweep yesterday

I was on a job over on Maple Street clearing a pretty standard buildup, and about 20 minutes in my brush head just popped right off the rod. Landed in about 4 feet of soot and I had to fish it out with a shop vac hose. Anyone else ever have a universal joint fail like that without warning?

Man stuff just gives up without warning, kinda like how @gavinlopez's zipper situation reminds me how everything in my life falls apart at the worst possible time.

Maybe a temp change made the metal contract differently than the plastic.

Yeah @nancygrant you're probably right, I can barely get a zipper to work in the cold so who am I to argue with physics.

Cold weather turning my zipper into a stubborn puzzle piece is basically my life now. At least physics has a good excuse, my zipper is just being a jerk. Maybe I should just wear sweatpants forever and call it a win.
