Brought my backyard roasting setup to a family reunion last weekend

Set up my air popper on the picnic table while my uncle was grilling burgers and nobody even noticed until the smoke got thick. By dessert I had three cousins asking if they could try roasting their own beans next time. Anyone else accidentally start a coffee hobby chain reaction at a gathering?

Read somewhere that once you get three people into home roasting, you basically started a coffee cult. You're the high priest now whether you like it or not. My buddy tried this at his brother's barbecue and now four dudes from his gym show up every month with mason jars full of green beans. The smoke is definitely what hooks people. They smell that chaff burning and suddenly everyone's a coffee snob. Your family reunion might become a regular roasting meetup if you're not careful.
