My uncle laughed at me for using a French press. Then I tried his Aeropress.
He said French press leaves too much silt and over extracts. A month later I bought an Aeropress and he was right, way cleaner cup. Anyone else have a family member change your whole brewing method?

My uncle Ted swore by his Aeropress for years and I honestly thought he was just being a coffee snob. Then I borrowed his last weekend and wow, that first cup was way smoother than my French press ever made. I still like the French press for that heavy body sometimes but the Aeropress is just cleaner and less fussy. I get why he laughed at me now, wish I had tried it sooner.

Funny thing is the Aeropress actually works better for camping than a French press cause it doubles as a portable cup when you flip it.
