Found out the first comic book ever sold for 10 cents and it's worth millions now

I was watching a documentary on comic history last night and they dropped this fact. The first Superman comic from 1938, Action Comics #1, originally cost a dime. A copy in good shape sold at auction for over $3 million a few years back. My brain just broke thinking about a 10 cent thing being worth that much. Has anyone else stumbled on a comic fact that just seems totally wild?

What's the real value of a dollar if it buys less stuff every year?

That's just inflation, not real value.

Wait, you're saying a 50% jump in egg prices is just inflation? @jenniferw82, my grocery bill tells a different story. That's not the dollar getting weaker, that's a carton of eggs going from three bucks to almost five in a year. Real value means what you get for your money, and right now you get way less chicken feed for way more cash. How is paying more for the exact same thing not a loss in real value?
