I finally tried that new drysuit glove system everyone in Seattle was talking about

I was sure it was just hype, but after a full day of salvage work in 45-degree water, my hands were bone dry and warm for the first time ever. The key was the double-ring seal on the wrist, which I mocked as overkill when I saw it online. Has anyone else made the switch and found a trick for getting the inner glove on without it bunching up?

My cousin swears by those for winter kayaking, but he always has to use baby powder on his hands first.

Baby powder's a great hack for getting those tight gloves on dry hands!

You know what, this whole thing reminds me of a bigger pattern I see everywhere now. People spend years mocking something as overcomplicated, then they try it and realize the "overkill" was actually just good design. I've seen it with tool handles, with rain jackets, even with those fancy foldable shovels for digging cars out of snow. We've been trained to think simple is always better, but sometimes the extra steps are what make it work.
