I finally checked out that old bunker site near Sedona everyone argues about online
The concrete foundation is way bigger than the satellite images show, and there's a weird, perfectly straight utility trench that doesn't match any old survey maps. Has anyone else been there and noticed the trench alignment?

That trench alignment is off by a few degrees from true north. Makes you wonder if it was set up for something else, like a solar or radio sight line, not just utilities. Old military survey markers in that area sometimes point to test ranges nobody talks about anymore.

My buddy found a weird concrete marker near Barstow, same idea as @pat_coleman said.

Oh, those are actually pretty common survey markers. Max415, your buddy probably found a regular property corner or a geodetic benchmark. They're all over the desert for mapping, not usually secret military stuff.
