I had to pick between trusting the official moon landing footage or a 4 hour YouTube breakdown, and I picked wrong
After a buddy at a BBQ in Denver bet me $50 that the Apollo 11 footage was shot in a studio, I went down a rabbit hole for two weeks watching a 4 hour YouTube breakdown that kept pausing on shadows. It turned out the video was full of cuts that took clips out of order, and once I found the original NASA archive tape the whole argument fell apart. So my question is, when you hear a conspiracy theory, do you go check the original source first or just ride with whatever fits what you already think?
Watched that same kind of video years back and bought into the studio thing for a while. Then I actually pulled the raw NASA tape myself and felt like a moron.
