I thought the 'Havana Syndrome' stuff was just spy novel talk until a friend got hit
My buddy works for the State Department and was in Vienna last year. He described a sudden, sharp pressure in his head and ringing ears that lasted for days, matching the exact symptoms reported. The official line kept changing from 'mass hysteria' to 'possible directed energy,' which flipped my view. Has anyone else had their mind changed on a conspiracy by knowing someone directly affected?

Yeah, that's terrifying. Makes it real.

I saw a news story last week about a data breach at a local grocery chain, the one my mom uses. It hits different when it's a place you actually go. These big abstract threats just become normal background noise until they touch your own routine. We get numb to the headlines until it's our turn in the checkout line.

Totally get what you're saying, @murphy.linda. It's like we live in a constant drip of bad news. You see it with everything, not just data stuff. A factory closes in another state and it's just a headline, but then your local plant shuts down and your neighbor loses his job. That's when the panic sets in. We're all just waiting for our own normal to get messed with.
