Found a crazy stat about how many stories get written from prompts

Honestly, I was looking at an old forum archive from 2010 and saw a thread where someone tracked over 500 finished short stories from just one monthly prompt challenge. Tbh it made me miss when places felt more about finishing things than just posting ideas. Anyone else have a go-to prompt source that actually gets you to write the whole piece?

Wait, are we treating writing prompts like homework now? (Not that serious, people.) Just pick a word and go with it.

Daily themes sound good until you see them in action. My friend tried one about "a door that shouldn't be opened." He spent three hours writing about a magical pantry before he gave up and just described his actual messy closet. It was the most honest thing he'd written in months.
