I used to think 'batch filming' was just a hustle culture myth for creators.
For my first two years making videos, I filmed one, edited one, and posted one, every single week. It felt like running on a treadmill. Then, after a really bad week where my truck broke down and I lost a filming day, a friend made me try it. I blocked out a Saturday, filmed six simple explainer videos back-to-back, and spent the next month just editing on schedule. My stress level dropped by about 80% because I wasn't scrambling for content. But now I'm torn: the workflow is smooth, but the videos feel less spontaneous and fun to make. Has anyone else found a good middle ground, or do you just pick a side and stick with it?

You said your stress dropped 80%, that's the whole point right there. The "spontaneous fun" is just a feeling that fades when you're burned out. Pick the method that lets you keep going without the scramble.

But is burnout really that black and white?

Wait, you filmed SIX videos in ONE Saturday? That's some serious focus, I get tired just thinking about it. No wonder the fun part got lost, that sounds like a factory shift. Maybe try batching just two or three at a time?
