Am I the only one who thinks a password manager is a single point of failure?

I mean, I get why people push them, but I had a real scare about six months ago. I was at my shop in Tacoma, trying to log into my business bank account, and my password manager just wouldn't sync. The main vault was on my shop computer, but the mobile app showed a blank list. I spent a solid two hours on the phone with their support, totally locked out of everything. I had to use the 'forgot password' link on like 15 different sites, which was a nightmare. It made me realize that if that one master password got compromised or the service glitched, I'd be in a bad spot. Now I keep a physical notebook in my safe for the most important logins, which feels crazy to say online. Has anyone else had a password manager fail on them and what did you do?

That's why you always keep a local backup of your vault, right?

My backup plan is a sticky note, @terry_jones.

My old boss lost five years of client files because his only backup was a single external drive that failed. What's your actual local backup method, Terry? Are you doing versioned backups or just copying the vault folder somewhere?
