My neighbor's kid got into my home network because I never changed the default router password from 'admin'.

After that scare in April, I now use a 15-character passphrase with numbers and symbols, and I'm curious if anyone else has a good method for creating and remembering strong, unique passwords for every device?

Honestly, 15 characters feels like overkill for a home network. I just use a solid 10 character mix and change it twice a year. Why make it so hard to remember?

My cousin's dog once chewed through a router cable, which honestly feels like a better security system than what @perry.evan is describing. That mutt caused less trouble than a weak password.
