Honestly, was it ever that big a deal? I get it, it was a pain, but we just did it. It was part of the job. You'd put on some music and just grind through the list. Now it's faster, sure, but I don't miss it like some huge life change. It's just one less boring task.

inVent: The guy I'm working with in Tampa keeps using a 3/8 impact on the governor bolts and says it's fine.
That's a great way to strip the threads or snap a bolt. I saw a guy do that on a compressor housing once, and we spent half a day drilling out the remains. A little patience with a hand ratchet saves so much trouble.
