PSA: That free password manager I installed 2 years ago just saved me from a serious mess

I used to just save all my passwords in my browser because it was easy. Last month I got an email saying someone tried to log into my bank account from a city in Texas. My password manager flagged it before I even saw the email because it generated a unique password for that site. I never realized how many accounts I had using the same reused password until that happened. Has anyone else had a close call that made them switch to a proper tool?
