Coworking vs cafe: picked the wrong one for 3 months in Lisbon

I was torn between a coworking spot for 150 euros a month or just bouncing around cafes. Picked the cafes to save money. After 3 months my back hurt from bad chairs and I spent way more on pastries and coffee than I thought. Finally switched to a proper desk and my output doubled in a week. Anyone else fight the urge to save cash and end up paying more in the long run?

Did those cafe chairs actually save you any money once you added up all those overpriced coffees?

Wait would you say the same thing about someone who bought a nice desk chair for their home office? The cafe chairs weren't about recouping costs through coffee, they were about having a comfortable place to sit and work while getting out of the house. Yeah some of those lattes add up, but so does buying a whole office setup at home. Plus you're paying for wifi, the atmosphere, and not having to clean your own dishes. I think people forget that coworking spaces charge way more per day than what you'd spend on a couple drinks.
