Built a shed base out of gravel last weekend and it was way harder than I thought

Honestly, I spent Saturday hauling about 800 pounds of crushed stone from Home Depot for a 10x12 shed base in my backyard in Reno. My back is still killing me but the drainage was perfect after a surprise rainstorm Sunday morning. Anyone else ever skip concrete and just go with gravel for a shed foundation?

Try one of those magnetic shoe trays by the door. Changed my life after a similar project.

600lbs is a lot of gravel, but finding a few pebbles in your shoes seems like a pretty small price to pay for a finished project. I mean, do people really get that worked up over a stray pebble or two? @the_patricia's magnetic tray might help, but is it really life-changing or just a solution to a tiny problem?
