Visited the hardware store in Bellingham and saw a guy using zip ties to fix a wobbly deck railing

My deck had the same issue last spring. I used two galvanized lag screws to pull the post tight against the beam. Zip ties are a temporary fix at best.

You know, I always thought zip ties were fine for that kind of thing. But seeing "temporary fix at best" made me look at my own deck again. I had to go back and do it right with screws too.
