Came across an old timer's trick for mudding inside corners and it saved me 20 minutes per room

I was at a supply house last Tuesday and overheard this guy in his 60s telling the counter kid about using a corner trowel with a smaller radius than the standard one... said it cuts down on the sanding because you don't get that ridge in the middle. I went and picked up a 3/8 inch radius trowel from Marshalltown and tried it on a bathroom remodel. First coat went on way smoother and I only had to do two passes instead of three. Anyone else ever try messing with the radius on their corner tools or is it just me?

Told my buddy Mike about this and he said it cut his corner time in half on his last kitchen job.

Ngl I tried that trick on my own kitchen reno last month and it saved me a ton of time too. Just took a little practice to get the pressure right on the router.
