I used to think those fancy collated screw guns were just for show
For the longest time, I stuck with my trusty cordless drill and a bucket of screws, thinking the auto-feed guns were a gimmick for big crews. Then I took on a whole-house job in Tacoma, about 4,000 square feet of board. My buddy lent me his Dewalt DCF620B for a day, and I was blown out. I hung a whole room's ceiling, maybe 30 sheets, in half the time it normally takes. My wrist didn't ache from driving a thousand screws, and the consistency of the screw depth was perfect every single time. I was totally wrong about it just being a fancy toy. Now I'm looking at buying one, but they're a big investment. For those of you who made the switch, was it worth the cost for a smaller operation like mine, or does it only pay off on the huge jobs?

Heard they save your wrist long-term.

My old office had those for years and we still had a bunch of carpal tunnel cases. The angle just felt off to me.
