My ceiling job turned into a comedy of errors last Tuesday
I was hanging drywall on a high ceiling with a lift. Everything was going smooth until the lift's wheel hit a loose floorboard. The whole thing tipped over, and the sheet went flying. It landed right in the bucket of joint compound, splashing mud everywhere. My helper and I were covered from head to toe. We had to stop and clean up for an hour, laughing the whole time. Lesson learned: always check the floor before setting up equipment.

What a messy way to learn a lesson.

After my own mud disaster I started using a laser level to mark the floor where the lift wheels go. Makes it way easier to spot a bad board or uneven spot before anything gets set up. That little red line has saved me from a repeat of the compound shower. Your story totally takes me back to that same kind of chaotic cleanup day.
