Question about a customer who insisted on using a cheap power supply

I had a guy named Dave bring his gaming PC into my shop in Cincinnati last month. He'd replaced his old power supply with a $25 unit from some random website, and then his whole system kept shutting down. I mean, I told him that thing was basically a fire hazard, but he argued it was 'just as good' as a brand name. Has anyone else had to deal with a customer who refused to listen about basic component safety?
