Rant: People keep mixing up chemical peels with exfoliating scrubs
I see so many clients who think a harsh physical scrub is the same as a professional peel, and they're wrecking their moisture barrier. One person told me they use a walnut scrub every single night, which is way too much. Anyone else have to explain this difference constantly?

Saw a friend burn her face with a lemon juice scrub last week.

That sounds rough, but lemon juice is straight up acid. It's not meant for skin, especially not in bright sun. Your friend's burn is a classic reaction. People see "natural" and think safe, but that's not how it works. Citrus oils make your skin way more likely to get damaged by light.
